Single lesson
The duration of one lesson hour is 50 minutes. You will be picked up at home and dropped off after. During your lesson you will be driving in the CBR area, which is the area where your final driving exam will take place.
The intake lesson
An intake lesson is a double, 100-minute orientation lesson. This session will help the instructor estimate the number of lessons you will require, and thus help you pick a course appropriate to your level of driving. Although it is strongly recommended, an intake lesson isn't compulsory. For the crash courses, however, the intake lesson is compulsory.
Interim test (T.T.T)
During your training, you have the option of assessing your progress by means of an interim test. This driving test is identical to your final driving exam, and will allow you to familiarise yourself with the test. Besides that, it could also help you get rid of any nervousness you might experience. Research by the SWOV (Institute for Road Safety Research) has shown that the interim test can increase chances of passing the final examination by 20 percent.
Driving test
The 55-minute final driving test will be conducted by a CBR examiner. During the exam, you will be assessed on how you perform the various skills you trained for during your driving lessons.
Statement of health
In order to take the CBR examination, you must be in possession of a 'statement of health'. This is a form containing a number of questions on your physical and mental condition.
